This Privacy Policy describes how Principals of Practice Limited, a New Zealand limited company with company number 8191349 (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores and shares your personal information when you engage our services, subscribe to our mailing list, enquire about or purchase any of our goods or services or visit or make a purchase from www.principalsofpractice.com (the “Site”).

We collect, store and disclose any Personal Information (as that term is defined in the Privacy Act 1993) provided to us by you in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993.  

Such Personal Information includes but is not limited to information about your:

  • name

  • contact information

  • location

  • computer or network

  • billing or purchase information

  • Device Information (defined below)

When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

We may also collect Personal Information about you that is publicly available, for example, from public registers or social media, or made available from third parties.

The purpose of collecting and storing your Personal Information is to allow us to administer, improve, optimise and personalise the goods and services we provide and offer you and for our legitimate business purposes. 

We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

Your Personal Information will be collected and stored in electronic and paper files by us at 57 Shelly Beach Road, Saint Mary’s Bay, Auckland, New Zealand, 1011. Your Personal Information may also be held on behalf of us by data storage providers including cloud-based storage providers, in New Zealand or elsewhere.  We use a range of physical and electronic data security measures to protect Personal Information from loss and unauthorised use, access, modification or disclosure.

Under the Privacy Act 1993, we can only keep Personal Information for as long as we need it or for so long as it can be lawfully used.

If you provide us with any Personal Information of a third party, you confirm that you have collected that Personal Information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1993 and the individual concerned has:

  • authorised the disclosure to and use of their Personal Information by us for the purpose for which you have disclosed it to us; and

  • been informed of their right to access and request correction of their Personal Information.

You have rights of access to, and correction of, any Personal Information we hold about you if you think it is wrong. The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.
